How to Use the Word Counter
Enter text in the text area or upload a text file, and various statistics will be counted in real-time. Word count, character count (with and without spaces), sentence count, paragraph count, and estimated reading time are displayed. A ranking of frequently used keywords is also automatically generated. Japanese text is also supported with character-based counting.

Q. How are words counted in Japanese text?
A. For Japanese text, in addition to English words separated by spaces, Japanese characters (hiragana, katakana, kanji) are also counted. Japanese reading time is calculated at approximately 400-600 characters per minute.
Q. How is reading time calculated?
A. English text is estimated at about 200 words per minute, and Japanese text at about 500 characters per minute. Actual reading time varies depending on content difficulty and the reader.
Q. Does it support file uploads?
A. Yes, it supports uploading text files (.txt). The file content is automatically loaded into the text area and count results are displayed immediately.
