Important Notice
- These results are estimates based on general values. Actual metabolism varies greatly by individual constitution, health, diet, and medications.
- Do NOT use these results to decide whether you can drive.
- Drunk driving is strictly prohibited by law in most countries.
- If you have consumed any alcohol, do NOT drive regardless of this tool's results.
- If you feel unwell or have consumed large amounts, please consult a medical professional.
How It Works
This tool calculates alcohol metabolism time using the Widmark formula and standard metabolism rates.
Calculation Method
- Alcohol (g) = Volume (ml) x ABV (%) / 100 x 0.8 (alcohol density)
- BAC (%) = Alcohol (g) / (Weight (kg) x Body water ratio) x 100
- Metabolism time = Alcohol (g) / (Weight (kg) x 0.1)
- Body water ratio: Male 0.68, Female 0.55
FAQ
Q. Does alcohol metabolism speed vary between people?
A. Yes, there is significant individual variation based on weight, gender, age, genetics, liver health, and food intake. These results are only estimates.
Q. How is blood alcohol concentration calculated?
A. BAC is calculated using the Widmark formula: BAC = Alcohol consumed (g) / (Body weight (kg) x Body water ratio) x 100.
